Software restriction policy windows 10

broken image

when using Runas Administrator, it launches in the Administrator's context which doesn't have the S:\ drive mapped (where the ExamIN and ExamOUT folders are) and fails saying incorrect S: drive.Īny help with disabling SRP for domain admins would be greatly appreciated. This has been okay up until now having to install A2C for the exam results. In the Enforcement is set to 'All users except local administrators' - sounds good.Ĭheck the Local Administrators group on a random PC, 'domain\domain admins' is in here - coolĬheck domain\domain admins group, my account is a member - fantastic, shouldn't be applying to me - but it is.ĭoes anyone have any thoughts/pointers on this please? for most things we have managed to get around this with Right Click > Run as Administrator.

It appears it tries to run OneDriveSetup.exe from the AppData folder (it's also in SysWOW64 folder).

On startup the bundled OneDrive in Windows 10 fails. If you accidentally lock down a workstation with software restriction policies, restart the computer in Safe Mode, log on as a local administrator, modify the policy, run gpupdate, restart the computer, and then log on normally. I use a Software Restriction Policy whitelist. Software restriction policies do not apply when Windows is started in Safe Mode.

I have checked over this and there is 1 GPO named Software Restriction. I just updated my first PC to Windows 10 that was part of our domain (testing). We have had RM CC4 removed this Summer and (with a few tweaks) things are working great, except for the fact that we as Domain Admins seem to be getting the SRP applied.
